Incognegro by Mat Johnson--a graphic novel about a black man who is so pale that he can pass as a white man. He lives in the 1960s when the KKK in the South frequently lynched black Americans. He goes to the South undercover to investigate these lynchings...but of course this puts his own life in danger.
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins--an adorable romance about a girl, Anna, who is shipped off to Paris for her senior year in high school. Sounds, fun, but Anna would rather continue her kick-butt job in Atlanta and hopefully hook up with the cute Toph...but then she meets Etienne St. Clair and decides that Paris might not be so bad after all!
