Week Three Book Three--Some Girls Are

What a pleasant surprise!

This book first seems like it could be just another book about girls fighting, but oh was I wrong!

Regina is in a clique, but definitely not just any clique--she is in the most popular clique in school. And if you're not in it, watch out! You're probably going to get bullied and even tormented if the clique so desires. But a rumor gets spread about Regina which forces her to be cast out of the clique completely, and now SHE is the one getting bullied.

Bullying is a major problem in public schools right now, and this book really showed how far some students will take it. This is the first book I have read where I REALLY felt bad for the main character, but the main character was quite unlikable. The former bully getting bullied, basically--so does she deserve it? Courtney Summers did an excellent job in writing this book. It was a page turner for me and I was obsessed with finding out what would happen. The ending was a little quick for me, but overall a great read.
